What’s the back story?
Welcome to Otonokizaka High School. It is centrally located in Tokyo, Japan’s Akihabara, Kanda, and Jinbouchou neighborhoods. This is a traditional Japanese school that opened its doors in 1896. Once upon a time it was the top school in the area. In fact, it was so well-known that its name was recognized everywhere. The developers went to great lengths to cover every detail of the storyline down to describing the school and students. The school is fairly typical, having an auditorium, a gym, athletic, an archery dojo, and a stable where students train alpacas. From watching the corresponding anime, it is known that the Student Council room is on the second floor and the the Idol Research Clubroom is located by the entrance on the first floor. The μ’s (Muse) often use the schools rooftop for their many practice sessions.
The student’s school uniforms are even described . The design has been the same for decades with the first year students wearing blue ribbons, second year wear red, and third year students wearing green ribbons.
Like many older institutions around the world, it has not adapted well to the ravages of time. Students have left and moved on to the exclusive private schools that cropped up in the surrounding areas. Loss of its student body to the competition coupled with the falling birth rates in the area caused rumors to spread about the school being closed. The situation got so bad that the decision was made to shut down Otonokizaka High School over a three year period. This didn’t set well with its loyal student body , so the efforts of the idol group, Muse, set out to prevent this from happening by drawing attention to their schools dilemma. The Love Live School Idol Project was started by nine high school girls from the Otonokizaka High School. The girls formed a group, under the leadership of Honoka Kosaka, a second year student at the time. This group, called μ’s (Muse), quickly gained popularity both with the schools populace and outside of school!
How to Play
Now Honoka and her friends have asked you to help this super busy young group of school idols with their multitude of activities! You can help them perform Live Shows to sell out crowds and recruit new members from their adoring fans.
Love Live! School idol festival is free to download, and free to play users can experience play in two different modes.—Story and Live. You can play all nine members of the idol group μ’s.(Muse)
Live Mode
Players acquire a score in Live Mode, in by tapping circles on screen in a rhythmic pattern. You goal is to get points by successfully tapping to the rhythm of the music at the proper time . With just a little practice, you can receive a high score that will put you ahead on the leader board. Choose from a multitude of songs available in rhythm mode. These are the same hit songs featured in the world famous Love Live! Anime. When you make a high enough score this means you will receive new idol cards to add to your team. You can use these cards to level up or see them transformed by combining them with other idol cards.
Story Mode In Story Mode, you work as μ’s (Muse) personal assistant. You will manage their entire career, from rehearsals to live appearances. It’s up to you to make sure they receive the right training, and make it to all their important appearances. The story mode function is voiced with all of the actual actresses who make up the Muse idols’ characters from the world famous anime feature. These ladies returned to record the track specifically for this groundbreaking game. In Story mode, you, the player interacts with all the girls of Muse as they live their lives as school idols.
